Militärgeschichtliche Sammlung TSLw 3
The latest part of the exhibition is concerned with the chronicle of the German Airforce and the German Army at Fassberg. In the year 2006 the Airforce School of Engineering 3 celebrated its 50th anniversary, as did the Army Aviation Regiment 10 which had its 25th anniversary at Fassberg. In December 1956, the German Airforce took over the base from the Royal Airforce and since then, the Airforce School of Engineering 3 is the driving factor of the base. In 1980, the Army Aviation Regiment 10 was relocated from Celle-Wietzenbruch to Fassberg. The history of both Regiments, also seen in conjunction with other units stationed at Fassberg, as the No. IV Signal Wing 33, is the main aspect of this exhibition. In addition to that, the presentation also reflects military reorganisations and changes from the early years until today.
