Nissenhut Berlin
Nissenhut Berlin hosts an exhibition which was developed by the Senate of Berlin and was displayed throughout Germany in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the airlift. It has now found its place in Fassberg, and we are greatful, that the Senate of Berlin has donated this extraordinary exhibition to our museum. Added up with various exhibits and showcases, it refers to the main aspects of the Berlin airlift. It presents not only the political backgrounds, but also the life of the Berliners, who had to cope with intensified political developments. Also at the time, the people of Germany had to handle the currency reform, the Marshall Plan, and the foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany. In addition to that, the exhibition also remembers of Gail Halvorsen, as the most famous Candy Bomber.
